We are METHODICAL, We make things! We believe in action, We believe in failure over inaction, Failure is better than inaction, Inaction is not METHODICAL, We are METHODICAL! We believe in mistakes, experiments! No right or wrong way as long as you are curious, to find new things out, We are explorers, The new adventurers! We seek to change language, minds and dreams. We respect honesty and authenticity, We are the METHODICALISTS! We detect lies, we have no time for wasters of time, we strive to make all the time, we want to create chatter, chatter is what we want, we want input and output, we are the METHODICALISTS. METHODICAL. Everyday METHODICAL. We are expressive, we experiment, we are curious like toddlers. Systematic, our poems are unusual and follow our own rules, we make our own rules, we do not take orders from anyone but ourselves, we are anti-authority, we are freedom. We believe in individuality; we believe in free thought and we are anti-censorship. We are the METHODICALISTS!

Nugget, 2021, terracotta and acrylic paint.

I made this Nugget brush gif from one PNG image I then animated in davinci resolve, then opened the file in photoshop and exported as a gif. the nugget brush is an art object exploring the idea of value, labour, painting and using humour to do so. the brush is made form terracotta made from clay I dug up, I then levigated the clay, made it into a slip, deflocculated that and poured it into a mould made from a real chicken nugget, then after drying I fired it to turn it into terracotta, I then crafted the ferrule from a discarded Pepsi max can and used my hair for the bristles, the terracotta is painted with acrylic paint to make it look a bit more plastic and fake. a labour intensive process to make a tool that has no real practicality as a paint brush, it’s not springy or firm enough to use with paint, it’s also not strong, so I thought, why not animate it?

The terracotta is painted with acrylic paint to give it a plastic and fake appearance. This labor-intensive process created a tool that has no practical use as a paintbrush; it is not springy or firm enough to use with paint, and it is also not strong. To show the ineffectiveness of this tool, I decided to animate it and create a GIF.
